Important points
Measurements and specifications Measurements entered for edged boards are finished dimensions including selected edge banding. Made-to-measure door and track dimensions, configuration and any applicable tolerances are stated in the product information and accepted Order Summary.
---
Customised and standard goods The statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specification. Consumers normally have that right for standard, unmodified parts bought online. Neither rule affects remedies for faulty, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods. If we agree to cancel Customised Goods, a cancellation charge of up to £25 may apply, limited to our reasonable, evidenced direct loss; see clause 6.4.
---
Inspection at handover Collection customers must examine reasonably accessible goods before leaving. Delivery customers should inspect boards, doors, tracks, parts and fragile surfaces while our driver is present. Visible issues should be reported immediately and emailed within 24 hours; concealed issues should be reported promptly after discovery.

1. About these terms
1.1 These terms apply to orders placed through panelpartner.co.uk by Consumers and Business Customers for boards, sliding doors, tracks, standard parts, accessories and posted samples. They form part of the contract between you and Gliderobes Limited, trading as Panel Partner ("we", "us" or "our").
1.2 A “Consumer” is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A “Business Customer” is any other customer.
1.3 If you are a Consumer, nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If these terms conflict with a mandatory statutory right, that right prevails.
1.4 Clause 18 contains additional terms for Business Customers and takes priority for them where it conflicts with another clause.
2. The goods
2.1 We supply furniture boards cut to size and, where selected, edge banded; made-to-measure sliding doors; tracks and components; standard parts and accessories; and décor or finish samples sent by post.
2.2 "Customised Goods" are goods made, cut, edged, drilled, assembled or otherwise configured to your specification. They include cut or edged boards, made-to-measure sliding doors and any track or component altered to your requested measurements or configuration.
2.3 "Standard Goods" are stock parts, accessories or samples supplied without alteration or personalisation. The Order Summary will identify the goods ordered; a standard component becomes a Customised Good if we cut, drill, assemble or configure it for you.
2.4 Images, posted samples and screen displays help identify décor and finish but are not exact colour matches. Screens, lighting, scale, surface area and manufacturing batches can affect appearance.
2.5 Wood-based, veneered, mirrored, glass and décor surfaces may show reasonable variation in colour, grain, texture, gloss and pattern. Grain position and repeat patterns may differ between boards or doors unless matching is expressly included in the Order Summary.
2.6 Product names and nominal dimensions identify the goods. Actual thickness, profiles, finishes and other physical characteristics remain subject to the manufacturer’s stated specifications and applicable product information.
2.7 Posted samples are small selection aids only. They may not show the full pattern, grain, gloss or variation of a board or door and do not guarantee an exact match to goods manufactured or supplied later. Where reasonably practicable, order goods together if batch consistency is important.
3. Measurements specifications and tolerances
3.1 You must check the final Order Summary before paying, including units, product type, finished dimensions, opening dimensions where requested, thickness, quantity, décor, face orientation, grain direction, door configuration, frame or profile, edge locations, edge type, track length and accessories.
3.2 Dimensions entered for an edged board are the finished dimensions including the edge banding.
3.3 The manufacturing tolerance for finished board length and width is plus or minus 1 mm. A board measurement within this disclosed tolerance is not, by itself, a defect.
3.4 Sliding-door, frame and track dimensions, allowances, overlaps and any applicable manufacturing tolerances are those stated in the relevant product information and accepted Order Summary. Do not assume that an opening dimension is the same as the finished size of each door or track.
3.5 We manufacture or supply from the information you submit. We are not responsible for an error in your measurements, opening details or selections, but we remain responsible for following the accepted Order Summary and meeting applicable law.
3.6 Unless expressly agreed in writing, we do not survey or assess your premises or decide whether your design, opening, substrate or proposed installation is structurally adequate, suitable or compliant with building, fire or other project-specific requirements.
3.7 Offcuts are not included and remain ours unless the Order Summary expressly states otherwise.
4. Placing an order
4.1 Our checkout enables you to review and correct order details before payment. The final payment button creates an obligation to pay.
4.2 Your order is an offer to purchase. An automated receipt only confirms receipt. We accept the order when we send an acceptance or production confirmation, or start production, whichever happens first.
4.3 If we cannot accept the order, we will notify you and refund all money paid. Reasons may include unavailable material or stock, an obvious pricing error, an unsafe or impracticable specification, a failed payment or delivery restrictions.
4.4 Keep the order number and the accepted Order Summary for reference.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 Consumer prices include VAT. Delivery will be charged separately and is not included in the price of the goods. The applicable delivery charge will be shown before you place your order. Availability remains postcode-dependent and an order may be declined if we cannot safely or reasonably deliver to the address.
5.2 Full payment is required online before production. Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not receive or retain complete payment-card details.
5.3 We may correct an obvious pricing error before acceptance. If found after acceptance, we will offer the correct price or allow cancellation with a full refund.
5.4 If installation is expressly included in the Order Summary, the quoted installation price does not include refitting, stretching, trimming, securing or replacing carpet or underlay unless the Order Summary expressly states otherwise.
6. Changes and cancellation
6.1 Contact sales@panelpartner.co.uk immediately if you want to change or cancel an order. A requested change or cancellation is not agreed until confirmed by us in writing.
6.2 Production of Customised Goods normally begins later on the same working day. Once cutting, edging, drilling, assembly or other customisation has begun, the order cannot normally be changed.
6.3 The statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to Customised Goods made to your specification. This includes cut or edged boards, made-to-measure sliding doors and altered tracks or components.
6.4 If you ask to cancel Customised Goods and we agree to the cancellation before production or customisation begins, we may deduct a cancellation charge of up to £25 from the refund. The amount charged will not exceed our reasonable, evidenced direct loss caused by the cancellation, and we will take reasonable steps to reduce that loss and explain the deduction. If production or customisation has already begun, the order cannot normally be cancelled; if we nevertheless agree to cancel it, we may deduct our reasonable, evidenced and irrecoverable direct loss, with any £25 charge forming part of, and not being added to, that loss. No cancellation charge or deduction applies where a Consumer exercises a statutory cancellation right for Standard Goods, where the goods are faulty, misdescribed, unsafe or not made to the accepted specification, or where cancellation results from our breach.
6.5 If you are a Consumer, you may normally cancel Standard Goods without giving a reason from the date of the contract until 14 days after you, or a person nominated by you, receives them. Where Standard Goods from one order are delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item. Business Customers have no change-of-mind cancellation right unless we agree otherwise in writing.
6.6 To cancel Standard Goods, email sales@panelpartner.co.uk with a clear statement identifying the order and goods being cancelled. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, but do not have to.
6.7 After cancelling, you must return the Standard Goods to our registered office, or another address we agree, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after telling us. Unless the goods are faulty or we agree otherwise, you pay the direct return cost. If goods cannot normally be returned by post, we will give the return cost or a reasonable estimate before the order is placed.
6.8 You may inspect Standard Goods as you could in a shop. We may reduce the refund for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Installation, cutting, drilling, marking or use may cause such loss. Original packaging is helpful but is not a condition of your statutory rights.
6.9 We will refund the price of cancelled Standard Goods and any basic delivery charge attributable to them, where applicable. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence of return. The refund will be made to the original payment method without undue delay and within the statutory time limit.
6.10 In a mixed order, the change-of-mind right applies only to qualifying Standard Goods and not to Customised Goods. Cancellation rights are separate from the remedies available for faulty, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods.
7. Production times
7.1 Our normal lead time is 3 to 5 working days before dispatch or collection for Customised Goods and available Standard Goods, unless the product information or Order Summary states otherwise. This is an estimate unless we expressly confirm a guaranteed date.
7.2 Lead times may be affected by material availability, order volume or events outside our reasonable control. We will notify you of a material delay.
7.3 Do not book installers or dependent work until all goods have arrived and been checked.
8. Delivery service
8.1 Delivery is postcode-dependent and is carried out using our own vehicles. We will provide available delivery information during the order process or contact you to arrange delivery.
8.2 Our standard service is delivery inside the ground-floor entrance where there is safe and reasonable access. It does not include carrying boards, doors, tracks or parts upstairs, through restricted areas or to a room of choice.
8.3 You must provide accurate address and access information and tell us about parking controls, narrow roads, stairs before the entrance, restricted access, unusually long tracks, large doors or other relevant conditions. You must provide a safe route, clear space and any reasonably required assistance.
8.4 If delivery cannot be completed because no one is available or because access information was incomplete or inaccurate, we may charge reasonable and evidenced redelivery costs after telling you what they are.
8.5 For Consumers, risk passes when you or a person identified by you takes physical possession. Ownership passes once we receive payment in full.
9. Inspection on delivery
9.1 Arrange for a person who can safely receive and inspect the goods to be present. Inspect packaging and all reasonably accessible boards, doors, tracks, parts and samples while our driver is present.
9.2 Check quantity, product type, décor, edge banding, profiles, track or part references and reasonably accessible faces, frames, edges, mirrors and glass. Show visible damage, shortages or incorrect items to the driver, record them on the delivery documentation and take photographs where reasonably possible.
9.3 If a full inspection is not reasonably possible, record the delivery as “unchecked” where the delivery documentation allows.
9.4 Email visible damage, shortages or incorrect goods to sales@panelpartner.co.uk within 24 hours of delivery, quoting the order number and attaching photographs where reasonably possible. Concealed issues that could not reasonably be identified at delivery should be reported promptly after discovery.
9.5 These inspection and reporting requests help us investigate. They do not remove a Consumer’s statutory rights or prevent a claim about a problem that could not reasonably have been found at delivery.
10. Collection
10.1 Orders may be collected from Gliderobes Limited, Unit 20 Charity Road, Amber Business Centre, Riddings, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 4BR, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 3:00pm.
10.2 Wait until we confirm that the order is ready. Bring the order number, suitable identification and a vehicle capable of safely carrying the longest boards, doors or tracks ordered, together with clean protective materials, supports and restraints.
10.3 We do not currently charge storage for completed collection orders. If collection is substantially delayed, contact us so arrangements can be agreed.
10.4 Risk for a Consumer passes when the Consumer or their nominated person takes physical possession.
11. Collection without packaging
11.1 If you choose to collect without protective packaging, you acknowledge that unpackaged boards, doors, tracks and parts are more vulnerable to scratching, chipping, bending, moisture, impact and other damage during loading, transport and unloading.
11.2 From handover, you are responsible for a suitable vehicle, clean protective materials, supports and restraints, and for loading, securing, transporting and unloading the goods safely.
11.3 Choosing to collect without packaging does not affect rights where goods were already damaged, defective, incorrectly made, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming at handover.
11.4 You or the person collecting must carry out a reasonable visual inspection before leaving. Check quantity, product type, décor, finished dimensions where reasonably practicable, edge banding, profiles, tracks, parts and all reasonably accessible faces, frames, mirrors, glass and edges. Report visible damage, shortage or obvious discrepancy immediately to collection staff and ensure it is recorded.
11.5 An immediate inspection request does not remove a Consumer’s statutory rights or prevent a claim about a concealed issue that could not reasonably have been identified before leaving.
12. Quality and Consumer remedies
12.1 For Consumers, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose made known to and accepted by us, match their description, and conform to the accepted Order Summary.
12.2 If goods do not conform, statutory remedies may include the short-term right to reject, repair or replacement and, where applicable, a price reduction or final right to reject. Customised status does not remove these remedies.
12.3 Reasonable natural or manufacturing variation described in clause 2 is not a defect unless the goods fail to match the contract or differ from what a Consumer may reasonably expect.
12.4 Damage caused after handover by unsuitable transport, incorrect storage, handling, installation, moisture, heat, overloading, incompatible fixings, misuse or alteration is not a manufacturing defect. We remain responsible for any issue for which the law makes us responsible.
13. Faults and returns
13.1 Contact sales@panelpartner.co.uk with the order number, affected item numbers, a description and photographs. We may reasonably ask to inspect the goods or arrange collection.
13.2 Do not install, cut, drill or otherwise alter goods you reasonably believe are incorrect, damaged or defective. Do not use a damaged mirror or glass door. Contact us first so the issue can be assessed and avoidable loss minimised, unless doing so would be unsafe or disproportionately inconvenient.
13.3 For Consumers, we will bear reasonable return or collection costs where goods do not conform to the contract. Change-of-mind returns of Standard Goods are governed by clause 6.
13.4 Any refund will be made without undue delay to the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.
14. Care storage and installation
14.1 Keep boards and doors flat or supported as directed, dry and protected from impact, bowing and contamination. Keep tracks straight and supported. Acclimatise goods where recommended by the material manufacturer.
14.2 Boards, sliding doors and tracks must be handled and installed by a competent person using suitable tools, fixings, personal protective equipment and dust controls. Follow applicable product and installation instructions.
14.3 Confirm opening dimensions, level, plumb, substrate, load, span, fixings, clearances, heat, humidity, water exposure and fire-performance requirements for the intended use. Cut edges, penetrations and site-made joints may require sealing. We are not responsible for installation unless the Order Summary expressly includes it.
14.4 Where carpet is present in the installation area, the installer may pull it back as reasonably necessary to carry out the installation. At completion, the installer will leave the carpet pulled back ready for refitting. You are responsible for arranging and paying for refitting by a suitably competent person. This does not exclude our responsibility to perform the installation service with reasonable care and skill.
15. Our responsibility to Consumers
15.1 We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious or both parties knew it might happen when the contract was made.
15.2 We do not exclude or limit liability where unlawful, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory rights that cannot be excluded.
15.3 Goods are supplied to Consumers for domestic and private use unless otherwise agreed. We are not responsible under a Consumer contract for business losses arising from commercial use.
16. Events outside our control
16.1 We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. We will notify you and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect.
16.2 If there is a substantial delay, a Consumer may end the contract where entitled by law and receive a refund for goods not supplied. This does not affect rights concerning an agreed essential delivery date.
17. Personal information
17.1 We process personal information as described in the Panel Partner Privacy Policy at https://panelpartner.co.uk/privacy-policy.
17.2 The Privacy Policy explains the information collected for accounts, orders, payments, delivery, customer service, analytics and marketing, and how individuals may exercise their rights.
17.3 Order information may include measurements, opening details, product configurations, drawings, photographs, delivery instructions and the names and contact details of people receiving or collecting goods. We use this information to quote, manufacture, supply, deliver, support and resolve issues with orders as explained in the Privacy Policy.
18. Business Customers
18.1 You confirm that you have authority to bind the business. The Order Summary and these terms form the entire agreement, but liability for fraud is not excluded.
18.2 Risk passes on delivery or collection. Title does not pass until we have received all sums due for the goods in cleared funds.
18.3 Inspect promptly and notify us in writing of visible damage, shortages or non-conformity within 1 working day and latent defects promptly after discovery. This notice provision applies only so far as reasonable and does not exclude matters that could not reasonably have been identified.
18.4 Subject to clause 18.5, our total liability arising from an affected order is limited to the price paid for that affected order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill or production, to the extent permitted by law.
18.5 Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of title obligations, defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
18.6 Terms implied by sections 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. This clause does not apply to Consumers.
18.7 Business Customers have no right to cancel or return correctly supplied goods for convenience unless we agree otherwise in writing. This does not affect an express contractual remedy for non-conforming goods.
19. Complaints
19.1 Email complaints to sales@panelpartner.co.uk. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
19.2 We are not currently subscribed to an alternative dispute resolution scheme. If applicable law requires us to provide details of an approved ADR body after an unresolved complaint, we will provide those details and state whether we agree or are required to use that body.
19.3 Nothing prevents either party from using the courts.
20. Other terms
20.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations if this does not reduce a Consumer’s rights. You may transfer your rights with our agreement or where the law permits.
20.2 The contract is between you and us. No other person has a right to enforce it except a permitted transferee.
20.3 If part of these terms is unlawful, the remainder continues in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
20.4 The version supplied with the accepted order applies to that contract. Updated terms apply only to later orders unless a change is required by law or agreed.
21. Governing law and courts
21.1 These terms and each contract are governed by the law of England and Wales. A Consumer keeps the benefit of mandatory protections in the country where they habitually live.
21.2 A Consumer may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where they live or in England and Wales. For Business Customers, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
